Orienta is part of Distretto Italia, the project that involves the most important Italian companies and the major training centers in the country.
Together, we want to create a space for ambitious young people who dream big and want to build their future with purpose. We want to breathe new life into blue-collar jobs, because we believe it’s important for young people to be represented in these industries as well.
The project revolves around three key concepts: guidance, training, and work.
Distretto Italia has developed a three-pronged strategy that begins in schools, directly with students, parents, and teachers. Our goal is to show them the range of career opportunities available, in order to broaden their horizons and help them choose the best path for themselves.
The second initiative is training. Distretto Italia has established four different training programs that teach students how to perform manual labor. Over several weeks, they are guided through a training course focused on practical skills.
Finally, students meet with companies, an important opportunity to kickstart their careers.
