Orienta was the first employment agency in Italy to receive the Dyslexia Friendly Award, a recognition granted by the AID (Italian Dyslexia Association) at the conclusion of the program titled "DSA Progress for Work."
The project, which lasted over a year, was launched by the AID to train recruiters to better understand people with Specific Learning Disorders (SLD).
The Italian Dyslexia Association has shown Orienta's recruiters the most effective methods for conducting interviews with candidates who have dyslexia or another type of specific learning disability.
When recruiters are unaware of a candidate’s learning difficulties, they sometimes misjudge that person, thereby jeopardizing their success. The new selection techniques introduced by the AID aim to reduce such occurrences by giving everyone the opportunity to be understood and properly evaluated.
The training provided to Orienta’s recruiters has finally made them aware of the challenges faced by some candidates. Thanks to this new approach and a balanced assessment of skills, candidates’ abilities can finally be fully realized.
Thanks to its "Dyslexia Friendly" status, Orienta offers new opportunities to many adults with ASD, giving them the chance to enter the workforce.
